Learning Times Tables is like learning to walk before you run in the mathematics world!
An example of how we use our Times Tables in everyday life is when we work out how many apples we need to buy so that each person in the family can have one each day for seven days, then when we work out the total cost of these apples when they are $1 each.
Most of the time we don’t even realise that these skills stem from our knowledge of multiplication learnt from our Times Tables.
Our Times Tables also form a very important foundation that is built upon in preparation of learning more advanced maths techniques.
